Oriental White Storks in the wild

Banding Catalog

Oriental White Storks that were released and fledged in the wild have bands attached to their legs. The bands have various colors and some of them are with individual number. They enable us to identify each stork and understand their movements, lifespan, and ecology in detail. If you ever see the Oriental White Stork in your town, try to identify it. For details, see the Banding Catalog (PDF in Japanese).
